Minimum Education:  Bachelors
Degree Title:  Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Sciences/ICT from a recognized university. Specialized training (or demonstrated experience) in dealing with databases and computer programming will be preferred.
Career Level:  NOA
Minimum Experience:  1 Year(1 Year(At least one year of professional work experience at national level in computer programming, database development and management.))

  Job Description

1. Working closely with the Senior Programmer and the Humanitarian Data Analyst of McRAM in improving the data collection and analysis tools and also learning the required skills from the senior programmer as his/her backup.

2. Assisting the Senior Programmer in capacity building of relevant UN staff, implementing partners and partners identified by each clusters in using PDAs for data collection.

3. Assisting the Senior Programmer in Data Analysis in close consultation with the Humanitarian Data Analyst.

4. Under the guidance of the Senior Programmer, implementing field data collection during emergency in the fields and supervision of the field work for quality control and trouble shooting (while suing PDAs for data collection).

Assisting the Senior Programmer in updating the McRAM website

  Required Skills
Basic understanding of editing and revising existing programs to adapt it to new situations.
Basic understanding of cleaning data fields according to predetermined edit specifications.
Basic knowledge about using PDA for field data collection
Knowledge or Experience of DevInfo and or CSPro and or other GIS softwares
Practical experience in Emergency data collection, data analysis and database management will be considered as advantage.


LANGUAGES (Indicate the languages required and desirable.)

Fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu. Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.
