  Job Description

Prepare draft of Invitations to Bids, and requests for quotations local procurement items.

Tabulates bids and prepares Comparative Statements for adjudication.

Draft Purchase Orders, ensure distribution and follow-up on timely deliveries with respective suppliers. Maintain Procurement files and records.

Scrutinise invoices/bills for accuracy and conformity with Purchase Orders and process Payment Requests for approval by the Chief of Section.

Maintain office record and reference files on PEI activities. Carries out data entry and retrieves information.

Provide assistance to the Programme Section in developing Supplies requisitions with correct specifications, TAD, consignee code and communication activities in support of the country programme.

Update monthly monitoring report of all local procurement by action office (country and field offices). Undertake Pre-Delivery Inspection upon instruction from the Supervisor.

  Required Skills
LANGUAGES (Indicate the languages required and desirable.)

Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is an asset.

OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES (Indicate what other skills and attributes required, such as computer knowledge, management or communication skills, negotiating or training ability, etc.)

Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills,. Ability to work in an international or multicultural environment.
Knowledge of computer management and applications.

Ability to draft clearly and concisely on technical issues with creative expression.
Skills in interpersonal and other forms of communication.
