| | | Job Description | | Under the supervision of Country Programme Director, UNIFEM and working in close collaboration with the Programme Officer, The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Meet with the programme staff to develop an outline for the assignment with specific timeline
- Conduct detailed gender analysis of the Labour Policy in terms of highlighting gender concerns and opportunities available for women workers in the policy
- Review the policy from the perspective of the integration of the informal workforce issues
- Identify the gender gaps requiring gender integration and opportunities available in the policy
- Identify entry points for UNIFEM, UN and GoP
- Draft recommendations for inclusion of gender integrated approach and informal workers rights issues in the policy
- Identify and share good practices and lessons learned in terms of gender based labor policies
- Prepare a report of gender analysis and recommendations for Labour Policy
- Incorporate feedback received by the UNIFEM Programme team and share the revised draft.

- The draft report detailing the components of gender analysis of the labour policy, gaps and opportunities, comparison with the previous labor policies, recommendations etc.

At least 10 years experience of working in development sector with special focus on gender equality and womens empowerment
Excellent understanding and knowledge of legal policies and Acts
Substantial work experience around policy research on womens economic empowerment in Pakistan
Excellent analytical and report writing skills
Excellent communications and coordination skills in English and Urdu.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, and Experience
Advanced University Degree in Development Studies, Economics, or any other related field or equivalent title or experience in academia
