Perform the following functions under the guidance of database officer and overall supervision of head of unit;
· Maintain existing online and offline databases;
·Collect and organize incoming reports;
·Data analysis/cleaning and entry into the databases, including addressing problems with data provided to WFP by partners and different activity focal points within WFP;
·Provide regular reports on the status of databases;
·Responsible to maintain proper filing system and archiving of all documents.
·Assist in the modification of database structures, entry forms and reports as required;
·Assist in the designing and development of new databases;
·Liaise with staff in other units to facilitate the flow of information;
·Establish and implement a strategy to ensure the integrity of core administrative data and non-interruptible access to that data by its users while maintaining good levels of security;
· In order to ensure quality of incoming data, the incumbent will assist the database officer in identify database related training needs of different units within office as well as those of partner NGOs and accordingly organize trainings for them;
· Will perform the duties of all subordinate staff or one level/grade up, in the event of any other unit staff being absent from his/her duty;
· Any other duties assigned by Database Officer or Head of Unit.
Required Skills
Advance knowledge of database designing and management tools notably Oracle, dot-Net, SQL-server and MS office products (MS access/Excel/Word/Power point);
Ability to travel within KP Districts;
Ability to share experience gained with other staff members and strive towards creating good team building and harmonious atmosphere;
Excellent command of the English Language, both written and spoken is mandatory.
